We are very excited to let you know that all patients of Drs. Wood and Hearst are invited to join Dr. Burdick’s practice.

Dr Burdick expects to start scheduling on Tuesday mornings September 5 for our patients, and then open a full schedule after we close, November 1, 2023. She will be accepting most of our current insurances as soon as she is credentialed to do so. If we have already sent your records elsewhere, but you now want to stay at 10 Bank St, please cancel with the other office. We will not charge for this second set of records.

Once we get your release, we will send your records to Dr Burdick. She will then be in touch with you by email or text. (If you cannot email or text, then she will call.)

Dr Wood will be closing her practice at the end of July due to her new diagnosis of breast cancer.
Dr Hearst will be here until the end of October and then he will be retiring.
Dr Hearst will be available to Dr Wood's patients for prescription refills and urgent concerns until the office closes on 10/27/23.
Dr Hearst is not able to take on Dr Wood's patients. Please do not scheduled her patients onto his schedule.

From Dr Wood:
I would like you all to know that I have an excellent prognosis and, as requested, I will keep you posted of my progress and plans here. All of your lovely, kind words are very much appreciated.
7/21 update: I have surgery scheduled for 8/23 at Mass General. My oncologist and surgeon assure me that waiting that long is not a problem.  We are working very hard here getting everything ready before then.
Everyone has been so gracious. In the midst of all this, I am feeling very lucky.
8/25/23 update: I had my surgery on the 23rd. It went very well and I am recovering nicely. I am very, very happy to report that my pathology has come back showing nothing worse than the very early stage of cancer that we expected from my biopsy with the margins and the lymph nodes showing no cancer :-)  Thank you all again for your well wishes.

• When picking a provider for your child, keep in mind that selecting a family medicine practice will mean they do not need to change providers when they become adults.

In order to send your records to your new provider, we need you to complete a record request in writing. Please submit the form that was mailed to you, down load that same form below, or have your new provider send us a form.
